Just days after the huge news of Devontae Dobbs joining the Sparty party, MSU football kept its momentum rolling on Thursday night.

Two days after announcing his MSU offer in a thrilled, all-caps tweet, 3-star athlete Alante Brown out of Chicago committed to the Spartans.

Brown plays quarterback for Simeon High School, but 247Sports has him listed as the 107th-rated athlete in the nation. There’s also not-so-secret speculation he could be playing receiver for the green and white.

And, via 247Sports, Brown said the Spartans has been his childhood “dream school.”

Less than one hour after Brown tweeted his commitment, the Spartans added a 3-star running back in Brandon Wright out of Euclid, Ohio.

Wright has a freight train frame, coming in at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. From the looks of his highlight film, it looks like the 96th-rated running back has solid breakaway speed as well.

The pair makes it 13 commits for the MSU class, making it three for the week. However, the Spartans could end this week with an absolute bang as in-state targets Tre Mosley (3-star, state’s top-rated WR) and Michael Fletcher (3-star, state’s top-rated DE) are expected to announce their commitments on Friday.
