The Michigan State Spartans start the 2018 season with three straight night games, but MSU will finally play an early day game against the Central Michigan Chippewas on Saturday, Sept. 29 with a noon EST kickoff at Spartan Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on FS1 and will be the last non-conference game of the regular season for both the Spartans and the Chippewas.
This will be just the 11th all-time meeting between the two schools. The programs last met in 2015, with Michigan State pulling away — in a somewhat closely contested game throughout — with a final score of 30-10.
Of course, both teams have business to take care of before going head-to-head. The Chips are currently winless (0-3) and take on the Maine Black Bears this week. The Spartans are 1-1, coming off of a bye week, and play the Indiana Hoosiers to begin conference play this week. This Saturday’s game is yet another night-time kickoff for MSU (7:30 p.m. EST) in Bloomington.
