Game Thread: Maryland Terrapins versus Michigan State Spartans

NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Maryland Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

As we honor the great Matin Luther King Jr. today, the No. 13 Maryland Terrapins visit the Breslin Center to take on the No. 6 Michigan State Spartans tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on FS1.

Here is your game thread platform.

Both teams are red-hot right now. Michigan State comes into the contest at 16-2 overall, 7-0 in the Big Ten and winners of 11 straight games despite having to weather the storm of injuries to Kyle Ahrens and Joshua Langford. Maryland is 16-3 on the season, and 7-1 in conference play. The Terps have been on an impressive run themselves, winning seven straight games

Monday night’s matchup is a big one, as the winner takes sole possession of first place in the Big Ten following the Michigan Wolverines’ loss to Wisconsin on Saturday.

Langford is unlikely to play, while Ahrens is currently listed as “questionable.” If both are out again, Aaron Henry will draw another start, and he and fellow freshman Gabe Brown will need to step up big time.

Happy MLK Day, and Go Green!
