Joey Hauser will not be suiting up for MSU this season.
After a lengthy appeal process after an initial rejection to his eligibility, Tom Izzo announced on Thursday that their appeal has been denied.
Joey Hauser should have been a five-star quarterback coming out of high school, because that’s the only surefire way the NCAA approves immediate eligibility no questions asked.
Hauser’s appeal being denied turns MSU from just a great team to just a great team. Would have been awesome to see him on the court this season, but hey, we’ll still be alright.
Also, Tom Izzo is not necessarily tickled by the news.
Izzo points out his support of the game over the years through committees, etc. "That ended last night ... I've always tried to be a good soldier. They lost a good soldier."

Izzo said he has resigned from the NABC board of directors as a result of the transfer situation in college basketball and the Hauser decision.
