The Michigan State Spartans return home to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles at the Breslin Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST on the Big Ten Network.
MSU is coming off of a road win over Northwestern, and is currently the only Big Ten team without a conference loss. The Spartans are 8-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The team shifts its focus back to non-conference play tonight against the Eagles.
Eastern Michigan actually comes into this game with an impressive 9-1 record. Granted, EMU has not faced high competition, and its one loss came against a UC Irvine team that is currently 7-7. But any time you win nine out of 10 games in any given stretch, you’re doing something right.
The Eagles are led by forward Ty Groce, who is a local Ypsilanti product out of Lincoln. Groce averages 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Noah Morgan is another name to watch, as he averages about 11 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Yeikson Montero, who came to Eastern from the Dominican Republic, also averages 10.8 points per game.
