After a season where the scoring output resembled a baseball game more than a football game, it’s only fitting that this MSU season end in the Pinstripe Bowl.

The Spartans will take on Wake Forest on December 27 on ESPN, kicking off at 3:20 p.m. It will be one of five bowl games that day, sharing the day with the Military Bowl, Texas Bowl, Holiday Bowl and Cheez-It Bowl.

Wake Forest will present a solid challenge in the Bronx as the Demon Deacons had a solid offense during their 8-4 season. They’ve thrown for 297 yards per game — good for 18th in the nation — and averaged 32.8 points per game to land them at 32nd in the nation.

RIP to the Quick Lane Bowl dream. We hardly knew ya.
