Spartan Bracketology: Where is MSU basketball going (for now)?

A LOT of the same destinations in here

NCAA Basketball: Rutgers at Michigan State Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

There’s a lot of different bracket projections in the world. However, there seems to be the same big idea for MSU heading into the home stretch of the season.

ESPN, CBS Sports, SBNation, USA Today, FOX Sports and Bracketville all have MSU in the west region as the two seed with Gonzaga as the one seed in that same region.

SBNation has the Spartans starting out in Des Moines, which is a common theme throughout this post.

ESPN is shipping the Spartans to Des Moines to face No. 15 Montana and the winner of Washington/NC State. Bracketville has the same exact pairing for MSU as well.

CBS Sports has MSU playing in, you guessed it, sunny Des Moines with an opening game against Montana. Later that weekend the Spartans would hope to face the winner of TCU/Louisville.

USA Today is sending us to a place called Des Moines, not sure if you’ve read about it yet. MSU would be playing Sister Jean in the first round in hopes to take on the winner of Arizona State-Buffalo.

FOX Sports doesn’t say where the Spartans will start their trip, but they’ll take on UC Irvine in hopes to play the winner of Washington/Florida.

So, yeah, maybe book a hotel in Des Moines?
