The Michigan State Spartans football program has landed its first commit in the 2020 class. Three-star offensive guard Dallas Fincher announced today that he has verbally pledged to the Spartans.

Fincher plays his high school ball at East Kentwood in Grand Rapids. He is rated as the No. 17 offensive guard in the entire nation, and the No. 19 player overall in the state of Michigan, according to the 247 Composite Rankings. Overall, he ranks 529th nationally. However, 247Sports itself ranks Fincher even higher, as the No. 9 guard in the U.S., and No. 11 player in the Great Lakes State.

The 6-foot-4, 274-pound lineman officially visited East Lansing earlier this week. He was initially offered by the Spartans back in April of 2018. Fincher is a legacy player, as his father, Mark, played for MSU as an offensive lineman in the 1980s.

The newest Spartan commit put together an impressive offers list. Ohio State, Michigan, Miami (FL.), Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Purdue and many other quality programs offered scholarships to the East Kentwood standout.

Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State staff continue to build from the trenches. The 2019 class is arguably Dantonio’s best offensive linemen group of his tenure, and 2020 is already off to a great start with Fincher.
