Gang, it’s one of the most bittersweet times of the year.

Yes, it’s finally Senior Day.

As we all know, there’s more than saying goodbye to hard-working seniors Matt McQuaid and Kenny Goins on Saturday. There’s also a Big Ten title at stake. Against the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

This has all the hype to be a memorable Senior Day experience, so let’s talk about a few of our others.

Of course, there’s the Beatdown at Breslin in 2000 when MSU beat Michigan 1,000-63. There was Eron Harris limping out to the court to kiss the Spartan logo.

Or, my personal favorite Senior Day moment, watching the team celebrating its first Big Ten title in eight seasons in 2009 after beating Purdue. Tom Izzo invited all fans onto the court for the net-cutting ceremony and, being a life-long State fan and high schooler at the time, that was the coolest thing in the world.

Heck, it would still be the coolest thing in the world as a grown adult.

There was something about being part of that usually-team-only moment that gave it that Spartan family feel. Being up close to the likes of Durrell Summers, Kalin Lucas, Delvon Roe and everyone else was surreal at the time.

So, let’s hear yours. Do you have any favorite Senior Day moments? Any unique memories stand out to you?
