Tom Izzo no longer rumored for Cleveland Cavs head coaching opening (again)

He’s probably staying at MSU next year too

NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Michigan Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Like the sun rising in the east, Tom Izzo was (lightly) rumored to be a name in the head coaching opening for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Two things 1) he will not be the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2019-20 season, and 2) goodness, does Cleveland fire a coach every year? I swear we do this every offseason.

Anyway, it’s too early to tell who indeed will be coaching Cleveland next season. I doubt they would go down into the coaching ranks to get a coach. And if they did, it would probably be a coach that won a conference title last season. Or, at the very least, someone who beat their rivals at least once in three tries last season.

We are working on trying to figure out who could possibly be taking over in LeBron Land Jordan Clarkson Land. We will try our very best to keep you all up to date.
