Rocky Lombardi was the last Spartan to earn the honor, which was back in 2018. Lombardi threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns against the Wolverines.
White proved to be a go to option for Lombardi, as he was the only Spartan to record more than two catches. Jalen Nailor was second on the team with two receptions for 68 yards.
Along with his Big Ten honors, Pro Football Focus recognized White as its True Freshman of the Week, with a 90.6 grade.
White was also named to the Week 9 Pro Football Focus Team of the Week.
