The then No. 19 Wildcats are coming off a huge 17-7 win over No. 10 Wisconsin. MSU did not play this past weekend due to elevated COVID-19 cases among the Maryland Terrapins. NU moved to 5-0 with the win and sits on top of the Big Ten West, while MSU is 1-3 and is currently in fifth place in the Big Ten East.
The Spartans snapped a three-game losing streak to the Wildcats with a 31-10 win last year in Evanston. Northwestern feature a stout defense and much improved offense from last season after Peyton Ramsey transferred to NU during the offseason. The current forecast for next Saturday’s game is for partly cloudy skies, winds of 11 miles per hour, and a high of 43 degrees around the time of kickoff.
