The commitment comes two days after the 6-foot-6, 270 pound prospect named MSU in his top five schools with Tennessee, Indiana, Toledo and Iowa State. The Warren, Mich. native also held offers from Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Purdue, Kentucky and a host of MAC schools as well.
The three-star talent ranks as the No. 39 defensive end prospect in the country and the No. 16-ranked player in Michigan per 247Sports.
The Watson commitment makes it two defensive line pledges this week with defensive tackle Derrick Harmon picking MSU on Wednesday.
