4-star CB Charles Brantley commits to MSU football

MSU picks up a big commitment out of the Sunshine State

Commit No. 10 came with a bang.

Florida cornerback prospect Charles Brantley — a four-star product per Rivals — just pledged his commitment to the 2021 MSU football class.

Brantley picked Mel Tucker and the Spartans after holding offers from Florida State, Pitt, Louisville, Indiana, Maryland, Virginia, Washington State and others.

The 247Sports composite has Brantley as the No. 41-ranked cornerback prospect and the No. 76-ranked Florida prospect.

Brantley’s commitment now makes it three defensive backs for the 2021 class, joining Maryland native Antoine Booth and fellow Florida product Gabe Nealy. This also makes it four total commits this week alone, joining Hampton Fay, Kevin Wigenton and Kameron Allen.

Brantley is a ball-hawking cornerback who had an impressive eight interceptions as a junior.
