The last few months, with everything going on in the world, has been a bummer.

You know what hasn’t been a bummer, though? MICHIGAN STATE BASKETBALL ON THE RECRUITING TRAIL, BABY!

First it was four-star 2021 shooting guard Pierre Brooks committing in April. Then No. 1-ranked mega recruit Emoni Bates picked Michigan State. Shortly after five-star shooting guard Max Christie followed suit to join Brooks in the 2021 class.

Now? NOW?!?! HOW ABOUT A LITTLE BIT OF FIVE-STAR, 6-FOOT-10 CENTER ENOCH BOAKYE OUT OF ONTARIO IN YOUR LIVES??!? LOOK AT TOM IZZO JUST CASUALLY PLUCKING THE NO. 18-RANKED 2022 RECRUIT OUT OF CANADA.

Boakye announced the massive news that he picked the green and white over Duke, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Arizona, Oklahoma State and UCLA.

The No. 3-ranked center for the class of 2022 now makes it two commits for what is already a storied class with Bates. However, just like Bates, rumors are swirling that a reclassification could be a possibility. Should Bates and Boakye reclassify, that would put MSU at 15 scholarships for 2021 — problem is, you’re only allotted 13. This will work its way out through professional departures and/or attrition of players that will move on to try to find more playing time.
