The pipeline from New Jersey to East Lansing just got another addition to it.
Audric Estime — rated as a four-star running back on Rivals — committed to the Spartans on Sunday night to cap off a great recruiting weekend for MSU. Estime was recently bumped down from a four-star to a three-star in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Estime had additional scholarship offers from several programs, including Arizona State, Iowa, Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Texas A&M, and his home state school of Rutgers, amongst others.
While it was just two players added to the 2021 class this weekend, it’s two big players as Louisiana-based safety Jah’von Grigsby committed on Friday. Chase that with a commitment from the No. 21 running back recruit in the nation per 247Sports, and we could all agree that’s a pretty good haul.
Estime comes in at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds and is built like a house. While physical and able to break through first contact, Estime has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield as well. But seriously — it doesn’t take some film junkie to realize how hard he will be to take down for opposing defenses.

Estime is the third prospect who is East Lansing-bound from New Jersey, joining four-star offensive lineman and high school teammate Geno VanDeMark, as well as three-star offensive lineman Kevin Wigenton.
This also marks the second running back recruit for Mel Tucker’s first class at MSU, joining three-star Davion Primm out of Oak Park.
