The Big Ten Tournament may be moving locations. The tournament, currently scheduled for March 10 through March 14 at the United Center in Chicago, may now be played at a venue in Indianapolis, according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.
Sources: The Big Ten is seriously discussing moving the Big Ten Tournament from Chicago to Indianapolis in March.

Rothstein, citing multiple anonymous sources, reports that the Big Ten is in “serious discussions” to move the event to Indianapolis, but no final decision as been made as of yet. The reasoning for the potential change in locations stems from the less strict health guidelines in Indianapolis compared to Chicago, as it may be easier for families of players and staff members to attend events in Indianapolis.
The NCAA also recently announced that the NCAA men’s basketball tournament will take place exclusively in Indianapolis and its surrounding areas, using multiple venues.
Of course, given the amount of games that have been postponed or canceled lately, in both men’s and women’s basketball, including with the Michigan State Spartans, whether or not the Big Ten or NCAA Tournaments take place as planned remains to be seen. Also of note, the Big Ten’s women’s tournament is already set to take place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis around the same time (March 9 through March 13), so if the men’s tournament is moved to that location, it may force the women to go elsewhere.
We will keep an eye on this story and update as more news comes in.
