Spartan gang, we are simply in uncharted waters in the Tom Izzo era.
I don’t need to go on and on and tell you about Michigan State probably missing a tournament streak that’s spanned over a generation. We know the deal at this point...or do we?
The random thought I had this morning was this — how are fellow MSU fans watching the rest of the season? Does everyone acknowledge the NCAA Tournament streak is all but dead, or are there some hopefuls out there watching each game with the mindset that the tournament streak is still alive (albeit barely).
Are most fans watching in a “Spring football” sort of way where we look at the games as meaningless, but are hoping to see a glimmer of something good to carry into next season?
Are fans at this point just hate-watching at this point?
Or, worst of all, are fans just simply not even going to turn on these last handful of games?
If you’re a fan watching as if MSU is right on the bubble, I envy your optimism. If you’re a fan knowing the road is ending, what’s keeping you still involved in these games?
