As the college basketball regular season winds down, the Michigan State Spartans are playing their best basketball of the year. After a rough start to the campaign, the Spartans have won three-straight games, including back-to-back victories over top-five ranked opponents in Illinois and Ohio State, as MSU looks to potentially play itself back into the NCAA Tournament.
A big reason for the sudden hot-streak is, of course, junior guard/forward Aaron Henry. Henry has willed the Spartans to wins with his spectacular play on the court and ability to take over in clutch time, along with his strong leadership. Henry also had some pretty solid quotes to the media as of late, for instance:
“We have to continue to be hungry, never satisfied,” Henry said. “We have all won in that locker room before. I like to say, ‘Don’t applaud a fish for swimming.’ Fish swim all day, and Spartans have won before, we have won before. We have to continue to do that and take it one day at a time.”
This quote has particularly resonated with MSU fans because it essentially means this level of play is expected from the Michigan State program, and Henry and his teammates intend to keep it going.
While the Spartans still have plenty of work to do, BreakingT is celebrating Michigan State’s recent accomplishments with brand new merchandise, inspired by Henry’s quotable.
