Another day, another transfer committing to Michigan State football.
Just another week in the transfer-happy Mel Tucker era and, FOLKS, we are loving it.
The most recent transfer shipping up to East Lansing is former Louisville defensive back Marqui Lowery Jr. The Charlotte, North Carolina product left the Cardinals program after one season, giving him four years of eligibility upon arrival to Michigan State.

Lowery — standing at 6-foot, 170 pounds — was rated as a three-star and the No. 139 cornerback prospect for the 2020 class in the 247Sports Composite. He did not see game action as a true freshman at Louisville.
This is the second cornerback that MSU has reeled in from the transfer portal as they also nabbed former Florida defensive back Chester Kimbrough. The defensive back depth is certainly welcomed as MSU lost Julian Barnett, Chris Jackson, Davion Williams and Dominique Long, safety/cornerback to the transfer portal this offseason. Add Shakur Brown’s departure to the NFL Draft and, well, MSU was starting to look thin at this position.
