The Big Dance isn’t all that’s moving to the the Hoosier State.
Rather than the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament taking place in Chicago as originally planned, they’ll be moving the production down to Indianapolis.
BREAKING: Sources tell me that the Men’s Big Ten Basketball Tournament will move from Chicago to Indianapolis next month. I’m also told these games are expected to be played at Lucas Oil Stadium. @WISH_TV

We reported this as a possibility in January, and now it seems to be coming to fruition. If the early reports are true and the tournament will be at Lucas Oil Stadium, it will be a return for the Spartans as they played there in the 2015 Final Four. If the season were going better I would 100 percent be throwing a “the Spartans will get accustomed to where they’ll be playing in early April” line but, WELP, here we are.
The tournament is still slated to start on March 10 with the championship wrapping things up on March 14.
We also can’t imagine this impacts many people outside of the program as fans will almost surely not be expected to attend. The Big Ten women’s tournament is also currently scheduled to take place in Indianapolis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse around the same time, starting on March 9 and running through March 13.
Michigan State’s next game is Saturday against Nebraska at 6:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
