Michigan State football lands third offensive lineman of 2022 class in Ashton Lepo

There’s more beef coming in the 2022 class

Michigan State football presented by OFFENSIVE LINEMAN RECRUITING is back at it.

The Spartans got the good word from Grand Haven, Mich. product Ashton Lepo on Friday as the 6-foot-7, 270 pound offensive tackle announced his commitment to Michigan State.

Lepo picked the Spartans over Indiana and Baylor, also fielding plenty of offers from MAC schools.

The 247Composite has Lepo tabbed as a three-star and the No. 26-ranked recruit in the state of Michigan. He’s also the No. 82-ranked recruit at offensive tackle.

This marks the third offensive lineman of the 2022 class for the Spartas, which is now at four players total. He joins 6-foot-4 offensive offensive guard Kristian Phillips and 6-foot-5, 305-pound offensive guard Gavin Brocious in the 2022 trenches, along with wide receiver Tyrell Henry.

If you can’t tell by now, there’s no secret that MSU values size when it comes to lineman recruiting. Between the 2021 and 2022 class, there are no offensive lineman shorter than 6-foot-5 and all but Lepo clock in at more than 280 pounds.
