Get ready to circle your calendars, as the Michigan State Spartans hockey team has released its 2021-2022 non-conference schedule. MSU returns to the ice at Munn Arena in just over two months from now.

Michigan State will start play with an exhibition game against the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) U-18 Team at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan on Oct. 2. Following that, the season officially starts with a two-game series against the Air Force Falcons on Oct. 8 and 9 in East Lansing. The following weekend sees the Miami (OH) RedHawks come to town on Oct. 15 and 16.

The non-conference schedule hits the road Oct. 22 and 23 for the only away series with a visit to UMass-Lowell. Following the trip to face the River Hawks, Michigan State will play a home-and-home series against Ferris State with the opening game Nov. 11 at Munn and the second game in Big Rapids on Nov. 13.

The final action in the non-conference series will occur over the holiday season. MSU will host Western Michigan on Dec. 29, and then will host Michigan Tech on Dec. 30 at Munn as part of the 55th Great Lakes Invitational showcase.

The 24-game Big Ten conference schedule will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned.
