The Cornhuskers will be coming off a road game at No. 3 Oklahoma, while the Spartans will be back home after a road trip to Miami (FL.) to take on the No. 25 Hurricanes. Nebraska is 2-1 following a Week Zero loss to Illinois and wins over FCS Fordham and Mid-American Conference member Buffalo. The Spartans are 2-0 after wins at Northwestern and over FCS Youngstown State.
Michigan State, for whatever reason, has had a rough time against the Cornhuskers in the Big Ten. Controversial calls in 2012 and 2015 matchups, along with an injury plagued squad in 2018 resulted in close losses. Nebraska is thus 4-2 against MSU as members of the Big Ten. However, the last time Nebraska visited Spartan Stadium in 2014, No. 10 Michigan State held off a late rally by the No. 19 Huskers for a 27-22 victory.
This will mark the first night game at Spartan Stadium since Sept. 7, 2019 when Michigan State defeated Western Michigan 51-17. The full slate of Big Ten games for Saturday, Sept. 25 is below.
