Texas leads 2022 NFL Draft with 32 former high school football players chosen

For the second time in the last three NFL Drafts, Texas is the leader in former high school football players selected. 32 former high schoolers from the Lone Star State were chosen during the three-day event held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Klein Collins led the way with two former players chosen. Former running back Isaiah Spiller was taken with the 123rd pick by the Los Angeles Chargers. With the 224 pick, the Miami Dolphins chose linebacker Cameron Goode. The top pick from Texas was former Lake Travis wide receiver Garrett Wilson. He was taken 10th overall by the New York Jets. Falling-in behind Texas with the most picks was Georgia with 30, California with 22 and Florida with 21.
