Almost a year after the bombshell announcement that USC and UCLA were bolting the PAC-12 for the Big Ten, the Big Ten has announced which matchups would be protected and who each member school will play in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

For Michigan State, the Spartans’ only protected game will be against Michigan. Other trophy games against Penn State and Indiana aren’t protected, though through the luck of the draw, the Old Brass Spittoon and Land-Grant Trophy will both be up for grabs in 2024 and 2025.

The first games against the new additions will be in 2025, when UCLA travels to Spartan Stadium for the first game between the two schools since 1974 and MSU visits Los Angeles for a road game against USC.

For the two years in which matchups were announced, MSU appears to have gotten a relatively favorable draw, primarily because the only game against Ohio State will be at home in 2024, along with just one trip to California in 2025.

Dates and times will be announced in the future.
